So new years eve eh? Eh indeed. Not that interesting but not bad.

Last night I hung out with Myke, Alex, Mali, and Christi. We had to kill time to wait for the 10:45 showing of Big Fish, but it was quite fun. And Big Fish was an excellent movie. Alex and I are going to start some sort of musical project and he has decided that i have to go to UCLA so we can start a legitimate band.

After we all seperated and it was just Myke and I, we did what we always did before going home. We avoided it and drove around talking about random things and ended up at Yum Yum where the guy kept trying to make us buy two dozen doughnuts. Agoura needs more places to hang out at after midnight. And I need to start going to sleep earlier before school starts again.

Winter break is finally here. Too bad I'm getting sick right before I can have fun. I got an 88 on my calc ap final, and I don't want to know my econ/physics scores...ugh. But school is over for a couple of weeks, so need to think about that.

In the next two weeks I get to mess around and not have any stupid shit to worry about. Yay for fallen idle music video editing, thrice cover band, midi hardcore, and 4-track funcore. And maybe I'll see avenged sevenfold january 4th at ventura.

3 car accidents. Last night, within a relative short time before we were to play our show, were 3 serepate car accidents involving people we know. Our friend Nheeba, our singer Mike, and the drummer from a different band playing that night all got into accidents. Things do happen in 3's. Luckily from what I've heard everyone is okay.

Otherwise, the show was fun. Sara came =). Zoey is still trapped and I miss her =/.
I hope all is well with everyone.

[stop] [11 Dec 2003|04:23pm]
Standing on the edge of the palisades cliffs
In the shadow of the skyline very far away
A lightning rod that couldn’t pull the storm from me
I was 5 years old my best friends older brother died
He fell from these cliffs
The river washed him away the current pulled him downstream
In our eyes, floating in the headlights, so we parked these cars
Parent’s garage
Listen to the lullaby
Of Carbon Monoxide

War all of the time
In the shadow of the New York skyline
We grew up too fast falling apart
Like the ashes of American flags
The sun doesn’t rise
We replaced it with an h-bomb explosion
A painted jail cell of blood in the sky like Three Mile Island
Nightmares on TV they used to sing us to sleep
They burn on and on like an oil field
Or a memory of what it felt like
To burn on and on and not just fade away
All those nights in the basement the kids are still screaming
On and on and on and on

I felt responsible today. I got matty j a bday present, took care of my sister, managed my food, and got my sis some coconut ice-cream. Later I went to Matty J's suprise bday and had a good time. I finally saw Pirates of the Carribean.

Yesterday I jammed with my drummer and the drummer of The Rectal Junkies. Good times had by all. We are gonna play a show with them this friday, you should come :-)

New cd list:
Cave In - Antenna
Bela Fleck and the Flecktones - Left of Cool
Glassjaw - Worship and Tribute
Steve Vai - Passion and Warfare

Nerd List:
Counter-strike
3D physics engine

If i was a serial killer i would be Ed Gein .
The Original Leather face. Ed gein, started out as a grave robber, robbing graves for the remains of women around the age of 50 and using the bits and pieces that he found to furnish his house. Eventually moving up to living subjects Ed would go on to kill 3 local women whom he would decapitate, skin and leave on meat hooks in his basement.

He later went on to confess that he would fashion masks and vests out of the skin of the women he had killed, even going as far as cooking and eating their hearts. Ed believed that he had to do these killings because his dead mother told him to.

Silence of the lambs, Psycho and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre are just some of the many movies that have been inspired by the life of Ed Gein.

I really like avoiding essays. I find the most creative uses for my time when I don't want to do something. I've played drums, updated my band's website, downloaded music videos, and generally been a worthless bum. Score motherfuckers, score. =)

[ music | Bjork + Poison the Well. ]

Tonight I went out for sushi at Tomadachi in Westlake. That's the second time that they've been playing the Lion King Soundtrack. Strangely everything tastes better when listening to "I Just Can't Wait To Be King."

Everyday this week I have a test I'm unprepared for, although I think I kicked my physics test's puny little ass. And tomorrow I can look forward to a calculus rape, but in english we're doing more Hamlet. So thats good.

Ooo, a pipe broke in my drummer's garage, so the walls in the practice space have been torn down. Now we practice at my house again and I have access to everyone's gear. Pretending I can play drums is fun.

I wish my dce was done and I didn't have to worry about colleges.

We played a party tonight in T.O. somewhere with August. So much fucking fun. We played 7 old songs, a new song, and of course...."Hey Ya" by Outkast WITH a hardcore breakdown =-0. And August was excellent like always. Follow up a fun show with a nice trip to BJs and I think I'm gonna go to sleep. Nite.

Who hates college essays? I do! Who needs college anyways, fucking educated losers. =)

I've created a friendster and myspace account for my band, and now I'm flipping through myspace users cause friendster is too slow. So now I have a livejournal, a message board, 2 friendster accounts, 2 myspace accounts, 3 e-mail addresses and a huge fucking headache.

Go and add two friendsters and/or myspace friends if your on there. Look me up as Paul and my band as Fallen Idle.

my lj looks weird...still. Kate said it'd be back to normal soon, that was a few days ago. =?

Today I got nice and fucked on my phyics test. Damn it. I hate turning in the test and seeing everyone else's test have a different answer for number 1. Number 1. ::sigh::

p.s. I'm feeling tired and compulsive. Someone give me a nap and something fun to do.

p.p.s. the horny smiley is freaking awesome, look: </p>

Oh man, at my house I have sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, and bite-size chocolate bars. I can't stop eating. It's way too good, they're like my friends and love them all equally.

But enough about my addictions. Thrice/Thursday/Coheed on Halloween was orgsmatastic. Coheed was way better than when I saw them a year ago. Thursday rocked us like mother fuckers. But nothing comes close to Thrice's set. They played so many good songs, skipped the single I'm sick of hearing, and all wore the same skeleton getup for Halloween. The crowd was so nuts.

But enough about me, how are you?

=)

[ mood | blah ]
[ music | tv crap ]

Tomorrow is Halloween. That means Thrice & Thursday at the Palladium :-)! Hell yes.

But anyways, we had show planned for Saturday at the Thousand Oaks Teen Center. Everything was going through as normal until a couple days ago when our singer went to the hospital because of a swollen throat and a 102 fever. So we cancel and find a replacement band. Seems okay, right? Well now because we pulled out we are banned from playing there. BANNED. Lame motherfucking bullshit.

Whatever, I'm fine here eating sunflower seeds and making midi hardcore.

nostalgia gum tastes like christmas [27 Oct 2003|10:22pm]
[ music | Victor Wooten covering Norweigan Wood ]

I missed school today. A black foreign object floating in the air from the fires got lodged under my eye-lid yesterday and it hurt like a bitch. In order to remove it the doctor had to flip my eyelid, which was weird yet awesome in its own right. Afterwards I got a cocoa-nut popsicle =).

Earlier this weekend Myke and I drove into moorpark at 2 in the morning to look at the fire. We drove through the smoke and ash filled night and barely found anyone on the road. A few parked cars had their trunks open and we're getting filled with valuables by thier owners. It was definitely a little weird.
